Firstly, I believe the g...Two points, if I may....<br /><br />Firstly, I believe the greatest educational requirement in this country is for the public (since it is they who vote) to realise that education for it's own sake is well worth having. The notion that education is simply preparation for work and that all degrees must be 100% vocational is wrong. There is also the fact that it is not always immediately apparent which degrees are non-vocational: it is not a black and white issue. For example, a good degree in History is is a very suitable starting point for a career in Law.<br /><br />Secondly, I cannot imagine how any rational person could vote for, or support, the Lib Dems after this.
